Policy Studies Institute is one of Britain's leading research institutes, conducting research which will promote economic well-being and improve quality of life. PSI enjoys a reputation for the rigorous and impartial evaluation of policy initiatives, and the publication and dissemination of research findings is central to PSI's ethos.

PSI provides data and analysis in support of policy-making, promotes the discussion and exchange of relevant information and research findings through its publications programme, and organises workshops and other events at its central London conference facilities.

PSI is a registered educational charity, independent of all political parties, pressure groups and commercial interest. Since 1998 it has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Westminster.
