This report, published in 1994, gives the results of a review sponsored by the Employment Service of the issues involved in current employment rehabilitation provision for disabled people. In detail, the research has three main objectives:
- to assess the quality of local rehabilitation
- to identify ways in which agencies should be monitored and
- to identify ways in which local provision should be developed to meet the needs of all clients.
The research involved semi-structured interviews with staff from five 'Placing, Assessment and Counselling Teams (PACTS)', interviews with 14 rehabilitation clients, and case studies of 10 of the agencies where the clients were undertaking their rehabilitation programmes.
