Employment Rehabilitation for Disabled People
Identifying the Issues
Jane Lakey and Rebecca Simpkins

During the last few years, there have been extensive changes to the way that employment services for disabled people have been provided.

This report, published in 1994, gives the results of a review sponsored by the Employment Service of the issues involved in current employment rehabilitation provision for disabled people. In detail, the research has three main objectives:

The research involved semi-structured interviews with staff from five 'Placing, Assessment and Counselling Teams (PACTS)', interviews with 14 rehabilitation clients, and case studies of 10 of the agencies where the clients were undertaking their rehabilitation programmes.
