This is the final report from the National Disability Information Project team. It reviews the development of information and advice services for disabled people and sets this within the wider context of the growth of advice services and the emergence of the disability rights movement.

The book describes the evolution and operation of the National Disability Information Project and reviews the work undertaken by the 12 local pilot projects. It identifies the factors that determine the success of these local services. The book also considers the provision of disability information by national organisations and suggests ways in which this provision can be strengthened.
