PSI researchers present policy case studies scoping for CECAN
Last week, researchers Ben Shaw, Ben Fagan-Watson, Martha Bicket and Pete Barbrook-Johnson presented recent work on scoping out policy evaluation case studies for the Centre for Evaluation of Complexity Across the Nexus (CECAN). These case studies are central to the centre’s work in pioneering, testing and promoting innovative evaluation approaches and methods.
The team, alongside colleagues from Newcastle University, showcased a range of potential policies from many domains across the ‘Nexus’ (food, energy, water and environment) for which they have conducted interviews with policy makers. The centre will now prioritise the most relevant and timely of these case studies, and begin working with the government departments and evaluation experts running them.
CECAN is a £3million national research centre hosted by the University of Surrey, bringing together a unique coalition of experts to address some of the greatest issues in policy making and evaluation. Read more here.
