Credit Use and Ethnic Minorities

Britain's ethnic minorities who live on low incomes are likely to have a high level of need for credit - a need which is often unmet by high-street banks and building societies. This is the first available assessment of the ways in which members of these communities find and use credit. The authors have made detailed case studies of Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Afro-Caribbean communities to present a unique guide to patterns of credit use amongst ethnic minorities and the ways in which these patterns vary from the wider picture among low-income households.
